The Department of Rural and Community Development recently announced funding for a 4km loop walk in Kilmacow under its Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme.
The walk is a combination of off-road (on the sports complex) along by the River Blackwater towards the pond, up to the high field and onwards along the Gooch’s Road towards the Lower Village before returning along the L3401 to the Sports Complex. The funding will provide for signage, way-markers and an age friendly seat along the route.
A final Letter of Offer is due from the Department which will facilitate the delivery of the project.
