Kilkenny sides named for Leinster Championship games this weekend

Kilkenny Manager Derek Lyng

It's another busy weekend for Kilkenny county teams with the minor and senior sides both in Leinster Championship action.

Niall Bergin's minor team are first in action when they take on Kildare in a knockout quarter-final at Manguard Park this evening (7.30pm).

The Noresiders will be looking to bounce back after losing their previous two games to Dublin and Wexford respectively.

There are two changes to the side from last week's defeat to Dublin with Ollie O'Donovan and Bobby Brennan both coming in from the start for this must-win clash.

Less than 24 hours after the minor clash, the Kilkenny senior side will be in Netwatch Cullen Park for Round 3 of their campaign when they take on Carlow.

The Cats have already defeated Antrim and drew with Galway so they will expect to keep their unbeaten run going when taking on their near neighbours.

Eoin Murphy, Mikey Carey, Adrian Mullen and Eoin Cody all sat out the last game but goalkeeper Murphy is back between the sticks for tomorrow's game.

Throw-in from Carlow is at 4.30pm with the game screened live on GAAGO.
