Woman accused of false imprisonment and robbery in Kilkenny

A woman accused of false imprisonment, theft and robbery had her adjourned at Kilkenny District Court for the service of a book of evidence.

Andrea Michu, who had an address at Apt 9, Hanover Court, Kennedy Avenue, Carlow at the time of the offences is accused of the offences which are alleged to have taken place October 3, 2021 at Ballyouskill, Attanagh, Co Kilkenny and at the Bank of Ireland, Lyster Square, Portlaoise, Co Laois.

The court heard that there is no garda objection to bail subject to a number of conditions including that the defendant sign on three times a week at Kilkenny Garda Station, provide a contact phone number to gardaí, reside at a named address and inform gardaí of any change of address, to have no contact with the injured party and to surrender her passport.

Judge Geraldine Carthy remanded the defendant on bail on her own bond of €4,000 subject to the above conditions and remanded her on bail to June 24 for the service of a book of evidence.
