More than 90 teams are ready to drive off for Kilkenny GAA’s Golf Classic this week.
The event, which will be held at Gowran Park golf club on Friday and Saturday, will see teams of four tee it up for the chance to win an array of prizes. The Classic, which is held in association with MW Hire, will raise funds to support the County Board’s investment in player resources and new facilities.
“We’re looking forward to the Classic, which has been really popular with teams and businesses alike,” said Eddie Brennan, Committee chairman.
“Local businesses have engaged greatly with the event, with many coming on as sponsors at platinum, gold and silver levels. We have two big days of golf planned with lots of prizes.
“We will also have a raffle with great prizes from McGuirks Golf and Monart,” he added. “A donation will be made to St Columba’s Hospital from the proceeds.”
