After 25 years of service, yesterday (Tuesday) the Kilkenny City Vocational School bid Mr Tom Cassin farewell.
"He has been a beacon of warmth and wisdom and greeted each day with a smile, welcoming students at the doors with open arms." a spokesperson for the school said.

"His passion for mathematics ignited minds and yet, it was his gentle spirit and kind heart that left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path," the added.
"We salute a teacher, mentor, and friend whose legacy will forever inspire. Happy Retirement Mr Tom," the statement concluded.
