TAP '>' FOR NEXT PILTOWN LEA CANDIDATE
Tomás Breathnach (The Labour Party)
Tomás Breathnach has a record of being involved in community organisations relating to health and well-being, sport, heritage and community development.
He was a founding member and continues to be a director of Ring a Link (Local Link), the rural transport service provider.
He was first elected to Kilkenny County Council in 2004 and is currently a member of the Joint Policing Committee, the Corporate Policy Group and is a member of the Strategic Policy Committee for Community, Culture and Fire Services and the Strategic Policy Committee for Transportation, Mobility Management and Water Services.
Tomás is seeking re-election to Kilkenny County Council so that he can continue to represent the people of South Kilkenny and to be their voice during the many challenges and opportunities the next five years will bring.
“Everyone should have the best possible quality of life in terms of lifestyle, access to services, quality of environment and sense of safety and security,” he said.
“This quality of life should be underpinned by access to housing, education, health and welfare services and the protection of individual and communal well-being.
“I have been actively involved in community issues since my teenage years. Being a member of Kilkenny County Council is a natural evolution of that engagement. The work challenging and important.”
