TAP '>' FOR NEXT PILTOWN LEA CANDIDATE
Ger Frisby (Fianna Fáil)
Ger Frisby has been working on behalf of the people of the Piltown LEA for the last 10 years.
A native of Slieverue, Ger says that the role of a local councillor is to represent and deliver for all constituents.
“I believe the people of the Piltown LEA have seen the work I have done on their behalf, and I am honoured they have chosen to re-elect me on two occasions,” he said.
“I am glad to say that after several years making representations to Kilkenny County Council regarding the status of the Ferrybank Shopping Centre, we are close to securing its opening. This will bring new retail opportunities and employment to Ferrybank and the surrounding areas.
“We have also seen the opening of a community park in Ferrybank as well as a recreational loop and upgraded facilities in Slieverue.”
Frisby said that this work feeds ‘into a larger action plan for the development of the South-East Greenway, which will see a new flyover bridge and access to Slieverue, and connection to Glenmore and Ferrybank’.
“I am also delighted to say that Kilkenny County Council has acquired the Clover Centre in Ferrybank, which will be developed into a community centre and will be open to local schools and community groups.
“These are just a few of the projects I intend to push for if re-elected, and with your first preference vote on June 7, I am confident we can continue this work together.”
