Kilkenny boxer continues to excel at professional level

Clogh boxer, Brandon McCarthy has made it two wins from two at professional level, beating Ryan Schwartzberg in a 59-54, 60-53, 60-53 points win in Plant City, Florida on Wednesday night.

McCarthy's solid jab and an ability to pick out clean shots featured throughout with Schwartzberg on the canvass back the second round only for the Kilkenny man's American opponent to refind his feet.

However, the local fighter wasn't discouraged and continued to put Scwartzberg under pressure and eventually ran out winner. -  READ A FULL REPORT HERE

The 23-year-old has claimed 16 National Titles and European and World Championships at every level during his time as an amateur.

"I've been working hard and developing my craft for the past few months in Los Angeles training at Matchroom Churchill Gym and coached by some of the best coaches in the world. I‘ve a great team around me and I’m excited to get going," commented McCarthy upon announcing his move to professional boxing.
