Three emaciated dogs were brought into the care of Carlow/Kilkenny Dog Shelter in Paulstown last week.

"Bubba and Boo, two of the three Collies that came into us Thursday/Friday had a groom today," the shelter posted on Monday, sharing the above picture.

"Their coats were so matted it had to be clipped right back, they were so good no issues with them, they are eating small regular meals and hopefully they will start gaining weight slowly.

"Brody the third Collie is more nervous but starting to come around."

The shelter currently has no rescue offers for the dogs.

To contact them, call (059) 972 6785.
