All roads to Johnstown on Sunday when the Family Field Festival will be in full swing. With loads of attractions to suit all ages, events begin at 10am in the Sports Field on the Rathdowney Road.
There will be all kinds of everything on offer for young and not so young from sports and hurling skills to amusements, funfair, food and craft, school violins, games and the highlight of the afternoon - the children’s tractor run starting at St Kieran’s NS at 2.15pm.

There is a dog show, with seven classes. Entries taken from 1 to 2pm with judging starting at 2.30pm. Cost is €5 for the first entry, €2 for extra dog. The day will be rounded off with music by DJ Mick Glendon followed by live music by The Wild Rovers (cover charge €5). A big raffle with great prizes will be held on the day, with tickets available from local businesses.
