The Foróige South-East Region hosted their Citizenship Showcase on Saturday May, 25 in Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise with three local projects involved.
Young people representing Kilkenny, Carlow, Kildare, Laois, Longford and Wicklow showcased their community action projects at the event which focused on improving the participants' local communities in areas such as equality, inclusion, community events, culture, creativity and fundraising.
Flying the flag for the young people of Kilkenny were members of Castlecomer Foróige, Identify @ The Drum, Project 21 and Foróige Mentoring. Their projects included organising a community clean-up, creating a safe space for LGBT+ young people, knitting hats for the homeless and creating an animation gallery.
