A driver with no tax, insurance or NCT will appear at a sitting of Kilkenny District Court after being stopped by local Gardaí at a checkpoint on Jacob Street in Kilkenny City.
The driver's car insurance was over five months out of date, while their car tax and NCT hadn't been updated in over a year.

"The vehicles windscreen deficiency with no insurance, NCT or tax for a long time ensures its keeper time in front of the judge," a post to the An Garda Síochana Kilkenny Facebook page stated.
"Naturally it was impounded which at least saves the owner his plan which was 'I'm getting rid of it during the week Guard'," the Garda spokesperson added.
