Professional darts players to fly in to Kilkenny for special event this weekend!

Anticipation continues to grow among Kilkenny dart fans ahead of a special event at the Ormonde Hotel this Sunday.

Jonny ‘The Ferret’ Clayton and Willie ‘The Magpie’ O’Connor will be Noreside to take part in a Darts Exhibition held in conjunction with Community Radio Kilkenny City (CRKC).

Organisers Ann Nolan and Tom Keogh have been working hard behind the scenes over the last few months to make Sunday’s dream a reality.

"I would never have had any interest in darts until I met Tom and I just got an interest in it and the interest went to obsession," said Nolan. "We jumped at the chance when the players became available.

"There’s going to be a professional aspect to this, not only with the players but with the set up," said fellow organiser Tom Keogh.

Station Manager Jackie O’Neill hailed the pair’s commitment to the project, while Chairman Maurice O’Connor echoed O’Neill’s sentiments adding’the entertainment value’ and the stories told should be equally as enjoyable as the darts.

Tickets are available via www.ticketstop.com and at the radio’s studios.
