Kilkenny prepares to host prestigious international cycle

Kilkenny will again feature on the 18th Rás na mBan international cycle race involving riders from Europe, the USA, Oceania, Africa and Asia.

The first stage starts at the Hoban Hotel in Kilkenny on Wednesday, September 4 at 4.45pm. It will then travel via Danesfort, Stoneyford, Knocktopher, Kilmoganny to the first Queen of the Mountains at Barntrasna leading into the scenic Lingaun Valley.

After going downhill to Billy Hawes Cross, it swings right and uphill to Windgap before leveling off through Coolagh to Callan. The 75km stage completes a circuit back out by the New Line and Coolagh to finish in Callan at around 6.35pm.
