The late Joe Cleere
Some of Kilkenny’s finest musicians will come together next month to remember Joe Cleere and celebrate his life at the third Joe Fest which takes place in Murphys in Thomastown on September 7.
The event is the creation of friends James Taylor, Sean Walsh, Alice Heafey, Marina Bini, Joy Fleming, Shane Tobler and many other friends in memory of their good friend Joe Cleere who sadly passed away in 2022.
This is one of the last celebrations planned at the venue which is currently for sale.
Joe Fest is a celebration of all things Joe from Jungle music to Ska, good food and drink and most of all good banter between friends and family. This year promises to a memorable day of music and fun at the iconic venue.
All monies raised from tickets this year will be going to Father McGrath Counselling Services. The Fr McGrath Family Resource Centre, based in St. Josephs Road, in Kilkenny is a local charity that offers a range of services to children and families.
According to the event organisers Joe Fest is proud to support their counselling service which offers an accessible and affordable service (from as little as €10 per session) to anyone over the age of 16 years of age that requires some support.
So, whether you are managing a difficult life change, experiencing a loss or struggling with your emotional well-being, this service provides compassionate and confidential space, where you can work through struggles and learn how to cope with life’s challenges. To avail of the service call 056-7751988 ext. 2.
