Kilkenny artist Marley Irish will hold an exhibition of her work at the Hibernian Hotel Kilkenny.
Irish, a self-taught artist, uses strong vivid colour to depict the liveliness and movement in her subjects. Irish, who works in a variety of media, is renowned for her paintings of the horse racing scenes and the ever graceful Ballerina collection.
Well known for her pastels she now concentrates primarily in oils and acrylic medium to much critical acclaim.
A regular exhibitor at Wexford Opera Festival, Kilkenny Arts Festival and The RDS, she has also held solo exhibitions in Australia, USA, Philippines, Venice and Vienna. Her work is on permanent display at her own gallery and working studio at St Ives Gallery, Slieverue, Co Kilkenny.
The exhibition at the Hibernian Hotel runs from August 8 to 18.
