Taoiseach Simon Harris is set to return to Kilkenny PICTURE: Dylan Vaughan
Local Fine Gael Councillor John Brennan says that the Taoiseach Simon Harris is to visit Castlecomer over the coming weeks.
Cllr Brennan spoke to the Taoiseach during his visit to the Marble City last Thursday, to officially open the 51st Kilkenny Arts Festival, and said that he is delighted to announce that the Taoiseach is planning on returning to Kilkenny shortly.
According to Cllr Brennan, the Taoiseach is to visit Castlecomer Enterprise Centre Castlecomer Discovery Park and meet with officials of Irish Water.
Cllr Brennan says that major capital projects such as significant housing developments are being refused planning permission by Kilkenny County Council due to a lack of infrastructure.
Cllr Brennan is calling on Irish Water to fast-track works on the Clogh Moneenroe Castlecomer Public Water Supply. “
This needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency other wise the whole area will come to a standstill,” he said.
