Take the pilgrim's way in Kilkenny during Heritage Week

The event is part of Heritage Week in Kilkenny

Embark on a captivating journey through Kilkenny's rich history with the Pilgrim’s Way Walking Tour, which highlights the abundance of holy wells that weave the story of this medieval city.

This tour is part of Heritage Week and traces the footsteps of ancient pilgrims, exploring the evolution of wells from their pagan origins to revered religious sites.

The walk includes visiting several significant wells within the city, each steeped in centuries of tradition and lore.

The walk takes place at 11.30am on August 23 and the meeting point is the Medieval Mile Museum on St Mary's Lane.

During the historic trail, guides will share tales of pilgrimages that once thrived in Kilkenny.

Participants are advised that this is a long walk (two hours approximately). Comfortable shoes and rainwear are recommended.
