Family issue update on Kilkenny man who fell ill abroad

Callan man Michael Wall

A Callan man who collapsed while on holiday in Spain is understood to be making slow progress on the road to recovery.

On Monday, June 3, while on holiday, Michael Wall collapsed with a heart attack and stroke. The local man subsequently went into intensive care at Dr Jose Molina Orosa Hospital in Lanzarote, Spain.

A GoFund Me Page was set up to help bring the local man home which raised over €33,000.

"Michael has always been the type of person who puts others before himself, and now, he needs our help," the family stated following the tragic incident.

However, the Wall family issued a fresh update on Michael's progress earlier this month.
