Almost 61,000 students across the country collected their Leaving Certificate results at the end of August with many students visiting schools across County Kilkenny to celebrate with friends and teachers.

However, while hundreds of teenagers studied hard for the exam locally, many had the extra commitment of working in the hospitality sector during the milestone year too.

The added workload didn't go unnoticed by the Newpark Hotel in Kilkenny who paid tribute to their Leaving Cert staff via social media.

"Congratulations to all the Leaving Cert students on your incredible achievements," they said.

"A special shout-out to our amazing team members at Newpark Hotel who have recently completed their Leaving Cert – we are so proud of you all."

"Your hard work, dedication, and resilience have finally paid off. Here's to new adventure," the post concluded.
