Mayor of Kilkenny, Andrew McGuinness has re-visited the city of Kilkenny in Minnesota.
The local Fianna Fáil councillor and other local representatives have visited the US State on a number of occasions since 2013 when Kilkenny in Ireland and Kilkenny in Minnesota officially twinned after a series of happy coincidences brought the two cities together. - FULL STORY HERE
As part of his visit, Cllr McGuinness laid a wreath on the grave of Archbishop John Ireland alongside Father Joseph Johnson, rector of the Cathedral of Saint Paul, National Shrine of the Apostle Paul and members of the Cathedral and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Kilkenny Live understands that the mayor also travelled to St Canice in Kilkenny, near Faribault, a parish founded by a native of Kilkenny, visited the Celtic Junction Arts Centre in the area to meet local community workers before stopping off for a pint in Emmett's Public House.
