The first 10 gigs have been announced for this year’s eagerly-anticipated Kilkenomics Festival.
General sale began on Monday, with several gigs selling out within 24 hours, including Karl Spain’s Walking Tour and one of the big brunch events.
Kilkenomics, the world’s first economics and comedy festival, brings together some of the world’s leading economists, including the odd Nobel prize winner, financial analysts and media commentators with some of our funniest, sharpest stand-up comedians.
This year’s festival is shaping up to be one of the best, with a lineup featuring Nassim Taleb, Yanis Varoufakis, Evan Solomon, Simon Kuper, Robert Shrimsley, Angelica Oung, Marla Dukharan, Edward Chancellor, Sony Kapoor, Rory Sutherland, Katie Martin, Jim Hodges, Andrea Catherwood, Martin Lousteau, Eric Lonergan, John Burn-Murdoch, Linda Yueh, Sean Keyes, Paul Greatbatch, Tom Burgis, Mehreen Khan, and David McWilliams.
There is also a stellar lineup of comedians to keep everyone entertained, including Kevin McGahern, Naoise Nunn, Fiona Frawley, Kevin Gildea, Colm O’Regan, Jennifer O’Connell, Sam Kebede, Julie Jay, Alison Spittle, Karl Spain, Shane Byrne, Sinead Quinlan, Dylan Moran, Gearoid Farrelly, and many more.
