Loreto students attending a talk on 'Coco's Law' on Wednesday morning
Loreto Kilkenny students in 4th 5th and 6th years received an important talk on 'Coco’s Law' on Wednesday afternoon.
Nicole, known as Coco, was 21 when she took her own life after being horrendously bullied online and in person for three years.
Following Nicole's tragic death, a law in Ireland in her name making online harassment, abuse and the distribution or publication of intimate images without consent a crime.

Nicole’s mum Jackie has spent the past number of years striving to honour her daughter’s legacy by pushing for new anti-cyberbullying legislation. These regulations named 'Coco’s Law' in reference to Nicole will, she hopes, spare other families the terrible fate visited upon hers.
"I had to lose Nicole for other people to gain," she told gathered Loreto students.
"We thank and we are so grateful to Jackie for joining us today and for speaking with the Loreto Parents Association last night (Tuesday)," the Loreto posted to social media.
