O'Loughlin Gaels club player and Kerry senior hurler Fionán Mackessy has been selected on the Joe McDonagh Cup, Team of the Year for the fifth time in succession.
The Kerry man holds an impressive hurling CV to date, winning two National Poc Fada titles and earned places on the 2022 Sigerson and Fitzgibbon teams of the year.

Mackessy was instrumental in his adopted club's victory over Dicksboro in the Quarter-Finals of the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling Championship on Sunday, scoring 1-1 in the dying minutes to help the 13-man county champions over the finishing line.
