Mullinavat are aiming to reach their first St Canice's Credit Union SHC Final in 81 years on Sunday when they take on Thomastown in the semi-final.
The South Kilkenny club have only lost one game this season and team manager Colm O'Byrne has claimed people labelling the side a 'relegation team' is 'hugely disrespectful'.
"I think the semi-final was the target from the start of the year, like there was a talk about Mullinavat being a relegation team, I felt that was hugely disrespectful," O'Byrne said.
"This club is senior ten years and has always made a quarter-final at least and being talked about in relegation every year is widely disrespectful," he added.
