Carlow Kilkenny Dog Shelter have shared some heartbreaking footage of a young dog who was recently placed into their care suffering from some extreme distress.

"We said we would help with this nine-month-old Collie pup," a shelter spokesperson said.

"We have no words. Another result of an 'accidental' farm litter. When will people just neuter/spay their dogs and take responsibility for their pets.

"Kennels are no place for this poor boy."

Thankfully, the dog shelter have posted an update to state that the dog is set to go to a rescue where he can begin to rehabilitate before finding a loving forever home.
