The Martin Travis Band will perform at Fennellys of Callan on November 16
The Irish rock and folk rock guitarist Martyn Travis has mesmerized audiences with his distinctive sound and compelling lyrics and will perform in Kilkenny for one night only next month.
His most well-known song, 'Deckhand On a Trawler' demonstrates his storytelling prowess and ability to evoke nostalgia. This moving song transports listeners through the highs and lows of life, striking a chord with many who can identify with the hardships and victories described in the lyrics. This song notably has been recorded by several artists both in Ireland and abroad. Recently 'Miscellany of Folk', brainchild of Benny McCarthy of Danu recorded a compelling version of the song.
Martyn Travis has also created a number of other well-known songs that have attracted a sizable fanbase. He hails from Dunmore East in Co.Waterford and spent many years treading the boards in Europe, US, UK, where he played many festivals, folk clubs and small theatres.

Following on from their success at the Seanti in May, Martyn and his band will be performing on November 16 in Fennelly’s of Callan.
