Glass Attic Gallery presents Out Of The Woods exhibition in Kilkenny

The exhibition, Out of the Woods, runs at The Glass Attic Gallery at Jerpoint Glass in Bennettsbridge

The Glass Attic Gallery at Jerpoint Glass in Bennettsbridge is currently housting ‘Out Of The Woods', a group exhibition running until January 31, 2025.

The exhibition features the work of local artists - Ross Stewart, Kristina Rozanich, Eoghan Leadbetter and Rory Leadbetter.

Each artist in the exhibition is deeply connected to the natural world, with their work expressing a unique relationship with nature through various mediums.

Kilkenny artist Ross Stewart works with organic materials, taking elements from his landscape and bird studies and reducing them to simple, abstract shapes while preserving the atmosphere and mood of the original.

Krisztina Rozanich’s encaustic paintings explore the link between nature, spirituality, and the subconscious creating dreamlike works infused with meaning. Krisztina was born in Caracas, Venezuela in 1970. She graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Fine Arts Painting. After university, Krisztina worked with ceramic artist Pamela Summers for several years before moving to Dublin in 2001.

In 2005, she moved to Budapest where there was a burgeoning art scene. She and two other artists founded Sziv Studios there. In 2009, she returned to Ireland and made her home in Kilkenny.
Eoghan Leadbetter’s woodturning uses locally sourced, naturally felled trees, transforming them into elegant, functional pieces that honour the beauty of their natural form.

Jerpoint Glass will also showcase their Landscape collection, inspired by Rory Leadbetter’s mountain running views, which translate the beauty of rugged terrain into stunning glass creations. Out Of The Woods offers visitors the chance to witness how nature serves as both muse and medium for each artist. The gallery is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
