Lisdowney GAA Club have had plans for development approved by Kilkenny County Council.
The club had been seeking to construct a new single-storey extension to the side of their existing community centre (two new changing rooms, shower rooms, toilets, physio room, store, entrance lobby and gym).
Also planned was new external signage, a new ball wall with all-weather synthetic playing area, associated perimeter fencing, a new wastewater treatment system and percolation area, new public lighting to walking track and all associated site development works.
Permission was granted, subject to eight conditions, on November 11, 2024.
