A squad of 24 players has been selected by the Ireland Women’s National Team for their UEFA EURO 2025 Qualifying Round 2 Play-Off against Wales with Kilkenny player Ellen Molloy set to miss out.
The Sheffield Utd midfielder, who earned a recall to the Irish squad during the last international window is understood to be out of the squad for the two legged clash with Wales due to a hamstring injury.
Ireland are aiming to qualify for the UEFA Women’s European Championships for the very first time and have made it to Round 2 of the play-offs following a 9-0 aggregate victory over Georgia in Round 1.
Now they must find a way past Wales, who they play in the First Leg on Friday, November 29 in the Cardiff City Stadium before hosting the second leg at the Aviva Stadium on Tuesday, December 3. Both games will be broadcast live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player.
Over 15,000 tickets have already been sold for the second leg fixture at the Aviva Stadium alone.
