Kilkenny gardaí are warning local people about yet another scam which has been emailed to some members of the public in recent days.
In the email, the sender claims to be a fraud investigator over a pending claim.
"This is a SCAM," a Garda spokesperson said.

"It is clever and liable to catch people out who are in talks with their insurance provider over a pending claim. Ironically the person who it purports to be from is a Fraud investigator for a rival insurance company.
"We're all sick of these scams but as always caution is king and knowledge is power," the spokesperson concluded.
