Kilkenny soccer manager claims the interest is not gone from 'prestigious competition'

Kilkenny Oscar Traynor manager Gary Maher has claimed there's still a 'massive interest' in the competition despite some counties deciding not to participate.

Earlier this month, Kilkenny suffered their first set back of this season's Oscar Traynor Trophy losing to Carlow 3-1 and will be looking to respond in their next fixture against Wexford Ferrycarrig Park on Wednesday night.

"There's still a massive interest in it. Some leagues don't enter, that's their own choice but it's still a very prestigious competition up and down the country."
