Kilkenny community make desperate plea for public help

A community in South Kilkenny are in desperate need of financial support as they attempt to replace crucial life-saving equipment.

For many years, a defibrillator has been housed outside Cois Abhann in Inistioge, County Kilkenny and has been called into use on a number of occasions.

However, that defibrillator is now in need of replacement and members of the community have set up a fundraiser which aims to raise enough money to purchase a new one and to provide the necessary training so that a team of people living locally know how to use it effectively when required.

"Please help us to provide this essential resource for our community," a local resident said.
