CBS Kilkenny bade a fond farewell to true legend of the school in May as Mairead Phelan retired from her role on reception after 46 years of dedicated service.
Students and staff lined the corridors and cheered her to the rafters as she closed the hatch in the front office for the last time.
"Goodbye Mairead, the place won't be the same without you," a spokesperson for the school said.
Everyone here at the Kilkenny People wishes Mairead the very best for the future.
