The annual Tractor run organised by Mooncoin Vintage Club took place earlier this year in brilliant sunshine.
Alex Cross pictured with his 1909 Fowell Steam Engine, came to Ireland in 1978, has appeared in many shows around the country. Originally used for sawing wood, threshing corn, crushing stones or just general haulage and farm work. It weighs approx 10 tons, and will do 5mph on the road. During a threshing it would use 5 or six bags of coal a day and a few hundred gallons of water to keep the steam and pressure up.

Over 200 tractors took part, new and old, big and small.
