The Glenmore clubman has become a mainstay in the Kilkenny senior fold, earning four All-Stars since making his inter-county debut in 2011.

The 34 year old is expected to return for the 2025 season with Murphy along with TJ and Richie Reid the only players remaining in the panel with All-Ireland medals following the departures of Walter Walsh, Conor Fogarty and Cillian Buckley.
