Danú celebrates 30 Years of Irish music mastery at the Watergate Theatre

Founded in County Waterford in 1995 as part of Ireland’s delegation to the Lorient Inter-Celtic Festival in France, the band has built a global reputation for high-energy performances and a profound connection to their musical heritage.

Danú's lineup of virtuosi features Benny McCarthy (accordion/melodeon), Nell Ní Chróinín (vocals/penny whistle), Éamon Doorley (bouzouki), Oisín McAuley (fiddle), Tony Byrne (guitar), Ivan Goff (flute/uilleann pipes/penny whistle) and Billy Sutton (bodhrán/mandolin).

Together, they offer a compelling blend of ancient Irish melodies and innovative arrangements, captivating audiences from the Hollywood Bowl to Symphony Space in New York and beyond.
