The dairy farm is situated on 129 acres of land at Foxboro, Mountrath, County Laois

The lease of a dairy farm situated on 129 acres of land at Foxboro, Mountrath, is set to come up at a public auction next month in County Kilkenny.

Auctioneer Joseph Coogan said the leasing of the dairy farm is for 15 years.

 "Leasing of Circa 129 acres of agricultural land, divided by public road with excellent range of farm buildings including 12-unit milking parlour.

"Lot 1: Circa 90 acres in one block beside public road, divided into a number of different size fields, with water supply and roadways throughout. The lands are prime grazing agriculture quality ideally suitable for grazing hay/silage.

"Farm buildings consisting of 12 -unit high spec milking parlour constructed in 2020,meal bin with automatic feeders, cubicle accommodation for80 cows, automatic scrapers with slatted storage tanks, silage slab, 3 Span round roof shed with 2 three span lean two’s concrete floors, outdoor slatted tank and feeding barrier, livestock handling facilities concrete yard.170,000 gallon storage tanks. These farm buildings are available to the tenant farmer who takes Lot 1 at an additional cost.

"Lot 2: Circa 39 acres situated directly opposite Lot 1 beside public road. The lands are ideally suitable for summer grazing with water supply."

The land is situated approximately 3miles from Abbeyleix, 5 miles from Mountrath,8 miles from Portlaoise, 9miles from Durrow,14miles from Ballyragget, 20miles from Roscrea, and 22 miles from Carlow town.
