Talk on celebrated Kilkenny artist at the Butler Gallery

Work by renowned artist Mildred Butler

A special talk on renowned artist Mildred Anne Butler will take place at the Butler Gallery later this month.

The event will coincide with a special display of works by Mildred Anne Butler in the Collection Galleries and the talk will be presented by Dr Tom Duffy who will discuss his recently published monograph on the artist entitled Lady of the Peacocks: The Life & Art of Mildred Anne Butler. 

About

Tom Duffy is an art historian, recently retired from lecturing in art history at the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire, Dublin after thirty-eight years. He is a graduate of Limerick College of Art and studied under Anne Crookshank at Trinity College. Tom has a PhD from NCAD in art history.

Free admission for Butler Gallery Members with €5 charge for non-members. 

The talk will take place on January 30 from 6pm to 7.30pm.
