Dublin footballer, Bernard Brogan will officially open his new pub in Kilkenny City this evening.
Brogan's of John Street is located straight across the road from John's Church on the street and was formerly known as Shem's.

The holder of five senior All Ireland football medals, Bernard will join the mayor of the city, Cllr Michael Doyle for the official opening tonight.
Bernard's parents, Bernard snr and Marie lived in Kilkenny in the 1970s and Bernard snr, who also won All Ireland medals with Dublin, trained with the Kilkenny team at that time. There is an open invitation to everyone to attend.
