Threecastles captain Darragh Walsh receives the Junior B championship trophy from Paul Kavanagh, JJ Kavanagh (sponsor) and Paddy Cooney, chairman Junior Board
Threecastles GAA Club, based on the outskirts of Kilkenny City, are asking club members and the wider public to consider making a donation to their All Ireland Series Appeal, as the small local club look to continue their remarkable run, this time against the country's best at Junior B level.
The Kilkenny club have been on an incredible journey over the past two years, winning county titles at Junior C and Junior B grades in two successive seasons with the latter arguably the sweetest, beating St Lachtain's of Freshford in the Roinn B decider.
The club had waited 83 years for a first adult county title prior to 2023.
The next step in Threecastles All-Ireland journey is a Leinster Final against Askamore Kilrush (Wexford) on Saturday at 2.30pm in Killeedy, Co Limerick.
