'Hopefully they stay going the way we are now' - Loreto Kilkenny hopeful of future camogie success

Loreto Kilkenny were crowned Allianz All-Ireland Senior A PPS champions for the third successive year, beating St Patrick's Maghera (Down) in a game of high endurance and small margins on Saturday at the TUD Grounds in Grangegorman.

A goal in each half from Ona Kennedy (1-5,0-5 f) along with a brave and determined Ciara Dunne (1-1), whose grandmother passed away a day earlier, proved to be the decisive factors come the call of time. - MATCH SUMMARY HERE

"It was a great game, we've been training all year for it and it's definitely the toughest match we've played all year but we were ready for it," full-back Angela Carroll (Dicksboro) said after the game.

"From the day we came in we knew we were going to be playing for the next six years and the same with the girls below us, it's just a continuous cycle, it never stops and hopefully they stay going the way we are now," a hopeful Loreto centre-back, Anna Doheny (Tullaroan) added.
