ALERT: Significant road works may be in the pipeline near Kilkenny village

Under funding from the Community Recognition Fund, a contractor has been appointed to carry out remedial works on the walls from Knocktopher to Ballyhale, with the works due to begin in March.

Meanwhile, the proposed installation of speed ramps on the Stoneyford and motorway approaches to Knocktopher as well as potential works on a pedestrian crossing in the area have been put forward for a 'Section 38 process' by Kilkenny County Council.

Members of the public can put forward submissions online HERE or in writing marked 'Knocktopher Traffic Calming Scheme 2025' to Kilkenny County Council by 4pm on Friday, March 7.
