Smoke rises from an overturned truck on the Hebron Road ring road roundabout
Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road traffic incident on the Hebron Road roundabout in Kilkenny this afternoon.
A large container lorry has overturned on the busy section of ring road, and smoke is pouring from the vehicle. Staff from the nearby McDonalds have sprung into action, bringing fire extinguishers to put out the potential blaze.
Ambulance and gardaí have now arrived. A man has been brought to St Luke's Hospital by ambulance.
