Traffic diversions are in place, while gardaí and multiple fire engines remain at the scene of an incident on Kilkenny's ring road in which a truck overturned this afternoon.
Staff from the nearby McDonalds rushed to help with fire extinguishers as smoke poured from the overturned lorry. The blaze was put out quickly.
The driver of the vehicle was brought to St Luke's Hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not thought to be serious.
