Former Mount Juliet Estate Sales and Marketing Director Siobhán O’Sullivan has joined the senior leadership team of Westport Estate as it undergoes a huge €85 million reimagining over the next few years.

Well known in Kilkenny from her time here, Siobhán is from Cahersiveen, Co Kerry, and daughter of Phillip and Maureen O’Sullivan, who have been pulling pints in the family business at The Shebeen Bar, Cahersiveen, for the last 50 years.

She joins Westport Estate as Director of Sales and Marketing, moving from a similar role at Mount Juliet Estate, where, over a six-year period, she led the repositioning of Mount Juliet Estate, driving a comprehensive brand reimagining, integration into Marriott’s Autograph Collection, and achievement of 5-star status. Her leadership helped secure the estate’s AA Hotel of the Year award in 2020 and facilitated hosting the Horizon Irish Open in 2021 and 2022.

“It’s an exciting time to join Westport Estate as it evolves into a world-class destination,” said Siobhán . “Our mission is to celebrate the estate’s heritage and natural beauty while creating engaging visitor experiences. I look forward to working with our talented team and local community to bring this to life.”

With over 20 years of experience in hospitality, brand development, and strategic planning, Siobhán will play a key role in transforming the Westport Estate into a premier global tourism destination. Thre are big plans in the offing, including a new hotel (The Grace), a refurbishment of Westport House and several brand-new attractions, which will be created with support from Failte Ireland.

“Siobhán’s expertise in high-end hospitality and successful track record of transformative projects make her an invaluable addition,” said Barry O’Connor, CEO of Westport Estate. “Her leadership will be instrumental as we position Westport Estate at the forefront of luxury tourism.”

Current redevelopment plans include The Grace at Westport Estate, a flagship hotel opening in Spring 2026, as well as the restoration of Westport House and its grounds. Exciting new attractions will feature a Grace O’Malley experience with interactive tours and digital storytelling, plus an immersive nature journey by renowned landscaper Mary Reynolds.
