Mayor of Kilkenny City, Cllr Andrew McGuinness has met with the ambassadors of Germany and Romania earlier this week to discuss a wide range of subjects.
"Our Ambassador David Gill had a great visit in. An amazing introduction into Kilkenny's culture, economic and social life, tourism, and politics, and to complete the day a beautiful tour of Kilkenny Castle," the German Embassy posted to social media.
Meanwhile, Mayor McGuinness described the visit of Romanian Ambassador, Laurențiu-Mihai Ștefan as a 'privilege'.
"It was a privilege to welcome Laurențiu-Mihai Ștefan, Romanian Ambassador to Ireland, to Kilkenny," he said.
"The Ambassador has been a great friend to Kilkenny and the Romanian community we have here. He has visited many times and has always given us great time," Cllr McGuinness added.
