"My heart was racing", explained Kilkenny lotto winner
A wave of ecstatic National Lottery winners visited Lottery HQ to claim their extraordinary Lotto prizes this week.
First in the door was an online player from Kilkenny, who proudly claimed the title of the fifth Lotto jackpot winner of 2025 after matching all numbers from the main Lotto draw on Wednesday, March 26.
This winner had their name automatically entered into the draw thanks to the Scheduled Play feature.

"I immediately turned to my partner and said, ‘I think we’ve just won over €4 million’," the winner said.
"My heart was racing. Naturally, my partner didn’t believe me at first and was convinced I was misreading the message on the app. We are both in total disbelief to be sat in the Winners Room to collect this life-changing cheque!"
When questioned on how they’re planning to celebrate their €4,005,581 windfall, the Kilkenny man was quick to respond: “We’re looking forward to taking our time to decide what to do next, the pressure is certainly off!”
