A Kilkenny native and much-loved member of the Holy Family Convent in Newbridge has been remembered with deep affection following her passing this week.
Sr Anne (Annie) Tunstan, of the Holy Family Convent in Newbridge and formerly of Kilkenny City, passed away on Wednesday, April 2.
A talented musician with a warm heart and ready smile, she is deeply missed by her sister Carmel, extended family, the Holy Family Community and Staff at the convent, all Holy Family Members and her many friends.

Messages of sympathy have poured in on RIP.ie from those who knew Sr Annie, with many remembering her kindness, humour and smile.
One mourner wrote: “Annie was a beautiful person full of fun, a talented musician with a beautiful voice and loved a little bit of a laugh.
“Annie loved the advancements in technology and every Christmas and Easter we looked forward to receiving her latest video message depicting the time of year.
“We will miss you Annie but have no doubt you are in heaven.”
Another tribute read: “Sincere condolences to Sr. Annie’s family and her community sisters in Holy Family. She was a lovely lady always with a kind word and a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May Sr. Annie rest in eternal peace.”
A third message added: “Sincere condolences to Carmel and family and her Community on the sad passing of Annie. I have fond childhood memories of her, she had a wonderful personality. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.”
Sr Annie’s loss is felt in Kilkenny and beyond, and she is fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her funeral Mass will take place on Saturday morning at 11am in St Conleth’s Parish Church, Newbridge, with burial afterwards in St Conleth’s Cemetery.
