The Kilkenny City Sinn Féin Cumann will hold its annual Easter Commemoration on Sunday, April 20, at 12pm.
This year’s ceremony will take place at the historic Friary Street Ambush site, where Michael Dermody, Thomas Hennessy and civilian Thomas Dullard lost their lives.

Their memory, and the memory of all who died in pursuit of Irish freedom, will be honoured with a wreath laying ceremony and a minute’s silence.
According to organisers, "All are welcome to attend this solemn gathering and reflect on the sacrifice of past generations, and to renew our commitment to the ideals of equality, unity, and national self-determination."
